Musical read

Class of 2021

This year, I opted to take part in my school’s musical {Title of Show} (A musical about two guys writing
a musical about two guys writing a musical. However as things are I am not comfortable singing in front
of an audience (I hope to improve in that during this process). I still wanted to help my school produce
a good musical so I took up the role of Assistant Director. Even though we only started rehearsals very
recently, it has already been a wonderful learning experience for me. On September 11th we (the cast
and I) got  together for a read through of the script and pointed out areas that we knew would need
more work than others. During that time we all were able to gain a basic understanding of the musical
beyond just the songs. When we went through, I marked the areas that we did well in and where we
would need more growth. I also learned a bunch about directing and where I personally would need to
improve. During this process I believe that I demonstrated Learning Outcome 1 as I have gone through
a project that I took on and found areas that I am strong in and those that I need to grow in.
